Five Good Questions:  Important Questions for a Faithful Life

Wednesdays in Lent

5:30 p.m. ~ Dinner

6:00 p.m. ~ Class and Discussion

Bring the family and some friends for a meal and an interesting discussion as we look into five questions people of faith grapple with. Each session will feature a great family friendly meal, and a class session for adults while children participate in the Children's Choir (begins at 6:15 pm). Using a combination of video, table and group discussion, and insight from our faith tradition we will take a look at the following important questions for faithful life:

February 24th - Do I have to love everybody?

March 3rd - What does it mean to have a relationship with God?

March 10th - What does it mean to trust God?

March 17th - Are our best days behind us?

March 24th - What is worth fighting for?

Questions? Want to help? See Brett Swanson

Weekday Bible Study Begins Wednesday, February 24th

Joshua:  Find God amidst war,

destruction, and conquest

Wednesdays @ 10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.

Ethnic cleansing, holy war, Jewish settlements in the occupied territory; all these show up regularly in the news. Bosnia and Rwanda, terrorists who claim their faith calls them to kill, Arab-Israeli peace negotiations; we know it all too well. But these “modern” issues are also in Joshua. What are we to do with biblical texts that seem to authorize ethnic cleansing and holy war? How can different people live together in the Middle East when the Bible promises the land to one people only? And how should Christians, who hear Jesus call us to love our enemies, hear the commands to annihilate the enemy? Join us for a challenging study that may ask you to rethink how you approach the Bible. All are welcome; no cost; bring a Bible and a desire to grow in faith.
